From its founding in 2004, the London Festival of Architecture has always been a celebration of the architects and architecture of our great city. We are a unique not-for-profit organisation that brings together key government figures, world-renowned cultural organisations, architects, every corner of the profession and a vast public audience.

Now taking place annually each June, the London Festival of Architecture is the world’s largest annual architecture festival. In 2018 we engaged a vast public audience of over 600,000 people as well as influencing senior decision makers. The LFA celebrates London as the global hub for architecture.

Our unique ‘Open Call’ model means that anyone with a passion for architecture and a good idea can propose a project or event for the LFA. This radically democratises and opens up the discussion around architecture.

The vast majority of our 530+ events are free and are staged by a core festival programing team working alongside architecture and design practices, leading cultural and academic institutions, artists and many others.

In 2017 the London Festival of Architecture was named by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, as one of his design advocate organisations. The LFA continues to work alongside the Mayor’s team to champion architecture, provide expertise and guidance, and help to make London a better city.

Architecture practices can support the Festival Through our Festival Club or Patrons Programme. Meanwhile businesses that enable quality architecture to thrive can support us through our Trade Partner or Benefactors Programmes.
