CO—RE in the news: ‘Whether it’s Bowie or Dylan, home working’s acoustic autonomy will change our workplaces forever’

When Britain returns to work, when this pandemic passes, many of us will undoubtedly find the experience of stepping foot in the office after so long rather strange.
What we might not expect, however, is how jarring it will be to abruptly relinquish control over what we listen to.
Having grown accustomed to our own musical safe-spaces over an extended period of time, it’s likely that for the first few days and weeks at least, many of our colleagues will be plugged into their Spotify or Apple music accounts via their personal headphones in an effort to drown out their colleagues’ babbling or ‘inferior’ tastes in music.
